This is one of two exhibited wall works referring to an exhibition at the gallery of Daniel Marzona, whose former gallery space was located around the corner at southern Friedrichstrasse.
Daniel Marzona passed away last year. Florian Schmidt expresses his memory of the gallery space and the person Daniel Marzona with these white wall works in a minimal form that characterizes all his wall works of this series. It is the loss of a person, a social space as well as an attitude.
Florian Schmidt found a conversation partner in Daniel Marzona. Also for us the space created by the person Daniel Marzona is still present. The encounters with Daniel at Mehringplatz and in his
gallery were full of profound exchange and a warm welcome based on humanity.
