Techno music is a form of electronic dance music born in Detroit, Michigan (USA) during the 1980s. First music made under word Techno recorded in 1988. There are many sub-genres of Techno, Detroit Techno still seen as a fundamental.
The beauty of Techno is generally repetitive instrumental music mainly used in continuous DJ set. Rhythmic pattern often in common 4/4 time. Basic elements, bass drum as foundation on each quarter note pulse, backbeat played by snare or clap on every second kick, hi-hat on every second eight note.
Tempo vary between 117 and 150 BPM, depending on the style. Main drum machines used from the 1980s Roland’s TR-808 and TR-909. Still very popular today.
