We inform about plastic and its many disadvantages. There will be events, followed by certain products that will promote a better understanding of conscious consumption.

New Episode is online!

Consumption is one of the, possibly even the most important, key driver for climate change. While the corona crisis clearly affects sustainability areas such as traveling, consumption patterns are somehow out of focus. Or did the crisis change the way we can consume? Green Consumerism is supposed to be one means for individuals to "do their share" for solving climate change. Yet, can Green Consumerism address systemic problems? We are joined by social entrepreneur and sustainability geek Veena Balakrishnan, originally from India, to talk about Zero Waste Weddings, Green Consumerism and her presence at COP26, the global climate conference that took place in Glasgow last year. Veena advocates that reducing consumption can bring joy and autonomy, and will share what politicians miss out in the debate about climate and overconsumption. Veena studies Sustainable Resource Management at TU Munich, and has organized the first Indian Zero Waste wedding (whose after-movie has been viewed by over 18 million people!) out of which she created the company Everwards India, a consultancy focusing on sustainable innovation for large-scale events.

After some quiet weeks we are finally back with our 5th episode of our podcast young, wild & green! You can find the link in our bio.🔥

In this episode we are joined by Third Wave Co-Founder and Critical Futurist Johannes Kleske to discuss the rich worlds of futures. 🔮We are discussing why futures actually start in the present and how the choices we’re making every day can influence possible, and yet unknown, futures. We will link sustainability to the tools of scenario planning and backcasting. According to Johannes, the climate movement needs collaborative, participatory and multi-scale action - and perhaps a Ministry of the Future.💚💚💚

Johannes Kleske is a strategic designer and futures researcher. He has spent the last ten years investigating possible futures of work, communications, and cities with a critical perspective. His mission is to give people agency in an increasingly complex world. He is the co-founder of Third Wave, a strategy and research firm for the New Normal, which helps companies and organizations to understand and shape the digital world. With more than 20 years of experience in digital consulting combined, Johannes and his co-founder Igor Schwarzmann support their clients with business consulting, design thinking/service design and coaching.

Good Health and Well-Being
Decent work and economic growth
Responsible consumption and production
Climate Action

Bikesurf - A true example of the sharing economy! — Stay With Me 07/07/2020

We believe there is reason enough to question the concept of the "platform/sharing economy". Many examples of good for the common good lead to hyper-capitalist structures, exploitation and brutal market mechanisms.

In this blogpost, we want to drag attention to a good example: BikeSurfBerlin. BikeSurf provides bikes for the community- and you pay what you can! Read Henriette´s blog post to get to know BikeSurf and how it is different from the big corporations of the sharing economy.

Bikesurf - A true example of the sharing economy! — Stay With Me Tick-Tock.  Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock. Time is running.  We are facing a limiting time frame, during which we might even stand the slightest chance to limit the present and future  effects of climate change. There are more and more individuals who are thinking outside the b
