Lavia, born in 1995, came to Berlin in 2014 to pursue her studies in art. She is attracted by the city and its vibrant art scene featuring international artists. She started painting at 7 years old, as a child, she has shown sensitivity in colours and for her, colours have become a way of expressing herself. She sees colours in relation to emotions and melodies.

Close Your Eyes and See 🎨🎵
A little opening with tea 🍵
· Sunday, June 7th · 2–4pm.
My mini exhibition is now up at as part of the , curated by .korpela — and I wanted to share a little more about what’s inside.

Each painting in this selection begins with sound. A melody heard late at night, a song that wouldn’t leave, a moment recorded in the forest at dawn — bird songs, rainfall, the quiet sounds of nature that we so easily pass without noticing. Through color, line, and texture, I translate these sounds into visual form — not as illustrations, but as emotional echoes, traces of feeling left on canvas.
The works span a few years and many musical encounters — from Keith Jarrett and Tom Waits to Erroll Garner and the Modern Jazz Quartet. Each one asked me to listen differently. I hope they invite you to do the same.
What do you hear when you look? And what do you see when you listen — listen closely? 🌿

☀️ Come say hello on June 7th!
I’ll be there brewing some of my favourite teas in Gongfu Cha style — just art, tea, and good conversation. Sign up via the link in bio on Luma, or simply DM me so I know you’re coming. 🍵

And while you’re in the neighbourhood, grab something from the delicious vegan menu at — prepared with love and care. Afterwards, we will keep exploring and discover more beautiful artworks across Neukölln as part of the Win-Win Window Exhibition. 🌿

Jade Visions

Freshly painted, just in time for its first exhibition. Come see it in person at .workshops this Thursday alongside works by .korpela, and say hi 🎨🩵
Some paintings take time to find themselves. This one started as a question: how do you paint a friendship?
Not any friendship — the specific, rare kind where two people are so attuned that the music they make together couldn’t exist without both equally present. ✨
Bill Evans and Scott LaFaro had that. Evans floating, searching, luminous; LaFaro underneath, steady and warm, but never just accompanying. He listens so closely he finishes thoughts that haven’t been spoken yet.

Bill Evans has inspired a few introspective paintings of mine, he’s one of my favorite pianists🎹 but this one is special because painting dialogue is something else.
It means finding two visual languages that coexist without one swallowing the other. The real work was getting them to actually talk, to meet, cross over, exchange the lead.

Creative friendship is like that. It asks you to hold your own voice while staying completely open to someone else’s. To be fully yourself without compromising — because if it’s someone who truly understands the creative value you carry, what you build together can be something neither of you could have reached alone. 💫

If you want to go deeper into their story, check out Everybody Digs Bill Evans (2026), Grant Gee’s film about their friendship. 🎶🤗

In the Mood for Monk🎶🎨
Being productive while not painting the paintings I actually wanted to finish 😅
I have been wanting to work on pieces for the upcoming exhibition, but between the busy event weeks and a funding application, the brushes have been quieter than I’d like. So today I decided to warm up, and ended up starting a brand new painting and almost finishing a painting I’d been leaving behind. 😎

”Straight No Chaser” felt like exactly the right spirit. I always come back to Thelonious Monk when I need something that’s challenging and fun in equal measure — his music builds in layers and structures that feel almost painterly, and this one was no exception. It started with a different inspiration entirely, but today Monk called, and I answered.
Some songs just do that 🩵

What’s yours — the one you go back to when you need a push, a cheer-up, or just a good rush of inspiration? 💫
