Interesting OECD graphic showing where my fellow freelancers tend to work. Key fact: low-income per capita countries…https://t.co/lhaAUe7zDM

For reasons completely within my control I've been without internet at home for the past week. I blame my IT manager. In theory that's me, as I'm freelance, but it's more fun to create and then blame a fictional person. And not at all worrying. Anyway, he/I forgot to renew the internet service that had been cancelled a year before by the previous tenant. Yes, the provider called me up to suggest I renew. Yes, I tried to get them to offer a free router as an incentive to stay with them. And yes, they told me that wasn't going to happen. So they stopped ringing me, my contract ran out and I'll be back online in two weeks. Which brings me to the point of this post. I've been forced into what would once have been called an 'internet cafe'. Except one lick of black paint, some factory lighting and a dusting of beards later we now know as a 'co-working cafe'. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be cycling myself and my laptop to a variety of these 'spaces'. On the plus side this will help keep me fit. And I'll get to eat more cake. So not all bad then.
