Every year on September 21, the world comes together to celebrate the International Day of Peace — a United Nations–sanctioned day dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.

This year’s global theme, “Act Now for a Peaceful World,” reminds us that peace is not passive — it requires action, collaboration, and courage in the face of hate and division.
