Lola

et outside. Even for the adventurous Lola it wasn’t a day to go outside. Instead she decided it was a good day to help her mother to clear out the attic. They hadn’t been up there since her grandmother passing away. Totally filled with boxes that reminiscence the old days. One box caught her eye, ‘Music’. She never knew her grandmother was such a music lover? Curious as she is, she opens the dusty cardboard box. ‘Crumbled newspapers? That’s no music.’ She starts digging and feels something, it is made of wood. She grabs the item and pulls it out of the mountain of paper. It’s a box with some kind of winding crank on the side. ‘A music box!’
She takes a look at it and sees a text engraved and filled with coper paint. ‘Numquam finientem fabulam‘. She opens the box…nothing, it’s empty. ‘How can this be a music box when nothing is inside, it does need a mechanism?’ She starts winding the crank… It appears to work, even without a mechanism...
The music box starts vibrating. Even harder than her mother’s Tarzan that she found in her nightstand. It pops open and a repetitive sound appears. It sounds like one of those old machines with knobs and faders. She saw it at the shop downtown once, where all the nerds go. All of a sudden a breeze starts blowing in the attic. ‘That is kind of strange since there are no windows...?’ Before she realizes it a tornado appears out of the music box sucking her completely into it… An adventure starts….
