For our latest Supplier Focus article, we caught up with Andreas Thölken- CEO of EVINTRA - worldwide comprehensive MICE directory with suppliers like DMCs in over 180 countries

Q. Hi Andreas, in a nutshell, tell us about your business

A. EVINTRA stands for EVent INcentive TRAvel and is a worldwide MICE directory, free of charge and without any commissions involved. A network of over 100.000 industry professionals including 23.000+ qualified buyers where Suppliers can join for free and buyer use it to find them and their contact details directly.

Q. How did you get started in the industry?

A. Actually I worked all my life in the Events Industry, I started as DJ and Stagehand when I was still a teenager and I started my first business with 16 years renting out my self-made speakers for parties in Germany. The first international event-air I breathed when I got a client that made it possible for me to work 1 year in a formula 1 team when I was 19 years old.

Q. Best moment for you at your company so far?

A. After 8 years of investing all my live into EVINTRA the first ever client that bought a premium membership on our directory online which made me dance around the office for 20 minutes.

Q. How can your organisation’s services make a Delegate Wrangler’s life easier?

A. We make buyers life easier as they can find suppliers with one click and valuable info about them in over 180 countries as well as over 30 buyer programs and any supplier can join the directory for free to be get global exposure for their company free of charge or even join an exhibit with us where they can safe tons of money as we share costs between participants.

Q. And finally - you’ve got one question to ask a famous person – who would it be and what would you ask?
