People keep working on the neck… but it tightens again.
Often the neck isn’t the problem.
It’s compensating.
There’s one tissue line (fasciae) running from the sole of the foot all the way to the skull.
After ankle sprains or a lot of sitting, that line loses its glide and the neck starts doing extra work.
Here I’m not really stretching the knee. I’m restoring movement along that chain.
That’s why the neck relaxes even though I never treated the neck directly.
If your neck tightens after walking, desk work, or old ankle injuries, this is usually connected.
