A few weeks ago, everwave took over operations in Sihanoukville.

The site is located in a coastal region facing significant waste management challenges and direct exposure to marine pollution. Since March, our local team has increased collection volumes by around 150% per month, reaching 41 tonnes of waste collected and processed only in May.

Behind these results:
👉 a dedicated local team
👉 daily collection operations
👉 proper processing infrastructure
👉 and transparent reporting and documentation.

This is what scaling impact looks like: real operations, measurable results, and long-term commitment on the ground. We look forward to continuing this journey together with the local communities! ♻️🌍

Do you think plastic pollution begins in the ocean and should therefore be tackled there?

It doesn't.

By the time it gets there, the problem has grown much bigger and become harder to solve, not to mention more expensive.
This is why river cleanups are so important, such as the work of our collection boat in Cambodia, which intercepts waste before it can travel further downstream. Under ideal conditions, our boat can collect up to 20 tonnes of waste from the river directly per day.

This has a positive impact on more than just the appearance of the waterway. It also reduces pressure on marine ecosystems, protects local communities living alongside polluted rivers and creates a measurable environmental impact in areas where intervention is still possible.
This requires infrastructure that works every single day in changing conditions and on a large scale, targeting pollution hotspots directly.

Real impact is not created through symbolic action, but through our work.

Plastic bags don’t end up in nature by accident.
In many places, there’s simply no waste management infrastructure.

In Cambodia’s floating villages, beauty and pollution exist side by side. That’s why we’re here: building systems that collect waste from households and rivers before it reaches the ocean 🌍♻️

Because clean rivers shouldn’t be a privilege.

We've come this far together. Let's finish strong!

Over the past week, you've seen us all over social media, and you might have even spotted us on screens throughout Germany. Today is the last day of our campaign. Every single like counts until the end of the day.

Over the past week, our partners have shared posts on their channels in support of this mission. For every like on these posts, we remove one kilogram of waste from rivers and oceans.

Now, we need one last push to collect as much as possible with your help! Take a quick moment. Search for . Go through the posts. Like whatever you can.

It's simple yet impactful. The ocean depends on your likes, and we depend on you.🌊
