National Theatre — the pride of Czech culture
The National Theatre is a symbol of Czech national revival in the 19th century. Built largely through public donations, it became a source of immense pride for the nation. The theatre first opened in 1881 but was soon devastated by fire. Thanks to nationwide support, it was rebuilt and reopened in 1883. Its Neo-Renaissance architecture is complemented by a lavish interior adorned with frescoes, gilded details, and mosaics. Today it hosts opera, ballet, and drama performances. The National Theatre is not only a cultural landmark but also a symbol of national unity and resilience.

Vyšehrad — the cradle of Czech history
Vyšehrad is an ancient fortress surrounded by greenery and legends. According to tradition, it was here that Princess Libuše foretold the founding of Prague. The fortress still preserves its mighty bastions, the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul, and the cemetery where many famous Czechs rest, including composer Bedřich Smetana and writer Karel Čapek. From Vyšehrad you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Vltava River and Prague’s red rooftops, especially magical at sunset. It is not just a historical site, but also a peaceful retreat away from the tourist crowds.

Prague Castle — the largest castle complex in the world
Prague Castle dominates the city skyline and can be seen from almost anywhere in town. It is not just a castle, but an entire architectural complex covering over 70,000 square meters. Inside you’ll find St. Vitus Cathedral — the main church of the Czech Republic, the Old Royal Palace, the Basilica of St. George, and the famous Golden Lane. With a history of more than a thousand years, the Castle has housed Bohemian kings and today serves as the official residence of the Czech president. Every hour, visitors can watch the ceremonial changing of the guard, and in the evening, enjoy romantic views over the city lights. Prague Castle is truly the heart of the nation, where history lives in every stone.
