Six years ago, I made the most pivotal decision of my life. I left the security of my job and invested my last savings into a dream: bringing to life my own custom gemstone cut for the Desiderare ring.

In Italian, the word means “to desire,” “to long for,” or “to wish.” That is exactly what I felt on my way to a small village near Plzeň to meet a talented young gem cutter, Tomáš Rubín That moment marked the beginning of my great adventure in jewelry—a journey that continues to this day.

Recently, Tomáš and I reopened the Desiderare project together. The result is this breathtaking natural zircon, faceted into a unique shape that plays with light like no other. 💎

This one-of-a-kind masterpiece is now waiting for its owner. Someone who isn’t afraid to desire.

I’m still reflecting on the last . The theme Stranieri Ovunque continues to resonate with me deeply.

It’s about more than just the fact that you’ll encounter foreigners wherever you go. It touches on that much more subtle feeling—that you can be a stranger even within yourself, your own country, or your own community.
Curator Adriano Pedrosa gave a powerful voice to those often left in the shadows: immigrants, expats, the diaspora, q***r artists, and indigenous peoples. It was a celebration of “otherness” and a reminder that the feeling of not quite belonging is, ironically, something that connects us all.

Venice has this way of swallowing you whole and spitting you out with a completely new perspective. 🇮🇹
