• Our times are not set and time permitting we often give “free guiding time” with clients if they wish so.
• We run a family business that gives family atmosphere. As you surely know, the main problem with tours is the necessary evil of having to walk in a herd and listen to a person ramble on and on. Most tours are not flexible as the guides have a set agenda, adjusted to the guides´ needs to make the tour quick and simple for as much money as possible, rather than the needs of the tourists. Tourists end up getting information/experience they can easily organize themselves from the internet. There is nothing special or unique and the clients leave having been rushed through a vacation seeing everything but experiencing little or nothing of the local culture and atmosphere. There should be a reason to have local guide/friend – showing them the ins and outs of the place. We are not intrusive and do not force a certain schedule on people. We spend the time necessary and adjust the time as the tourists want. The point of the tour is not to show all of the historical/interesting sites just because they are here. Many things they can do on their own. Not everyone in a group has the same interests. Some just want to do part. Sometimes a tourist has a special request. If a classical tour does not offer something, we can adjust and help them get necessary information to do certain things on their own that they might not have been able to organize. If we have the time and the group wants us too, we stay and spend time with them just for fun free of charge. This is not just a job where we have to finish and go home.
