The name of our restaurant, Shalamar, is inspired by the Shalamar Garden in Lahore, Pakistan built by the great Moghul king Shah Jahan - in the 17th century - the one who built the Taj Mahal as well. As with the Shalamar Basmati rice, introduced for the first time by us in the Czech Republic in 2001, we are now the first to bring the ancient cooking method known as Dum Pukht to central Europe. Wh
