🎓 Education in the Czech Republic vs. CIS: What is the difference that will change your life?
Dreaming of a European degree but used to a system where the main thing is cramming for an exam? 😅
Let’s be honest: moving from a school or university in the CIS to a Czech university isn’t just a change of city. It’s a change of the rules of the game. At MSM Academy, we see this «culture shock» in our students every year. And you know what? It’s a positive shock! ➕
Many think that studying in Europe is «just different.» But how exactly does what you’re used to at home differ from what awaits you in Prague?

⚔️ BATTLE OF SYSTEMS: HOME vs. CZECH REPUBLIC ⚔️
1️⃣ WHAT IS THE FOCUS? 🏠 At Home: Often lots of theory and «cramming.» The goal is to memorize and reproduce information at the exam. 🇨🇿 Czech Republic: Practice and critical thinking. The goal is to understand, analyze, and learn to apply knowledge in real projects. Your own opinion is valued here, provided it is well-argued.
2️⃣ PROGRAM FLEXIBILITY 🏠 At Home: A rigid schedule for 4-5 years. You get a list of subjects — you follow it. Almost no choice. 🇨🇿 Czech Republic: Freedom of choice! There is a mandatory «backbone» of subjects, but you choose the rest YOURSELF. Want to study economics but add a psychology or IT course? Easy! You are the architect of your own education.
3️⃣ THE PRICE 🏠 At Home: Either high competition for limited budget spots or paid tuition (which often gets more expensive). 🇨🇿 Czech Republic: FREE in state universities. The main condition is studying in the Czech language. (Spoiler: it’s realistic to learn it in a year with our courses!).

💡 THE MAIN PLUS: Czech universities value your independence. There is less control «from above,» but more responsibility on you. As a result, graduates aren’t just people with a diploma, but professionals ready to solve real-world problems and work in international teams.
