/EN/ 🇨🇿🤝🇩🇪 / Fab-Maker on the road: we’re in Czechia! 🚌✨
The first two days, packed from morning till evening, are successfully behind us 🙌

The German partners from e.V. and different makerspaces are currently in Czechia 🇨🇿, and together we’ve been visiting makerspaces in Brno, Rousínov, Hlubočky and Zlín, sharing experiences, and most importantly meeting in person (which is always the most valuable part:)

On Thursday, we kicked things off at beautiful space at JIC Brno with the project meeting and then Fab-Maker Forum open for public✨
At Forum, we've heard makerspace stories - from open workshop in rural village through library makerspace to university led space open to public. Alongside the great atmosphere, we realized that even though we operate in different countries, we’re actually dealing with very similar challenges.

Then we headed straight into the field: starting at FabLab Brno, continuing to StrojLAB. Next day visiting the makerspace at the MUNI Library Brno, making our way to Hobbylab Rousínov and unexpectedly visited makerspace with great activities mostly for children at Geniátor Hlubočky. Each place is unique, but all are driven by passionate people 💛

We talked a lot about what works, about real challenges, how to run makerspaces sustainably 🌱 and safely 🚧 — and also discussed future plans and the visual identity of the project. We also exchanged hands-on experiences from practice. But wait for the details about creating new pen from the the wood it in the next post.

📍 March 21/today — Robota and 44 Crafts Center in Zlín
We’re heading to more makerspaces, a hands-on session (yes, we’ll be making things 🌿✨), and a joint closing of this part of the project. Luckily, the project runs until mid-2027 — so no goodbyes just yet.

These days keep confirming that connecting communities across Europe truly makes sense 🌍
