V padesátých letech 20. století byl komunistickým režimem znárodněn a v únoru roku 1991 opět vrácen původnímu majiteli. V průběhu minulých let zde byla provedena celková rekonstrukce. Hotel je vzdálen pouhých 12 minut tramvají od centra a leží v klidné oblasti Prahy, proto je vyhledáván jak staršími lidmi, tak i rodinami s dětmi.
