🇨🇿 Léto, prázdniny a čas dovolených se blíží. Pokud plánujete dovolenou v zahraničí, nezapomeňte na několik základních pravidel.

📕 Při každé cestě mějte u sebe cestovní pas a povolení k pobytu. Ujistěte se, že vašemu pasu nekončí platnost. Některé státy vyžadují pro vstup minimální dobu platnosti.

🇪🇺 Máte-li v Česku jako občan třetí země udělené dlouhodobé vízum, dlouhodobý nebo trvalý pobyt, můžete cestovat i v rámci schengenského prostoru. Celková doba pobytu v ostatních státech Schengenu však nesmí překročit 90 dnů během jakýchkoli 180 dnů.

🗺 Pokud cestujete mimo Schengen, doporučujeme si předem ověřit vstupní podmínky cílové země. České povolení k pobytu vás neopravňuje ke vstupu do zemí mimo Schengen. V případě víza si zkontrolujte, zda umožňuje opakovaný vstup – tedy návrat do Schengenu.

⏳ Pokud vám skončila platnost současného pobytového oprávnění a žádost o prodloužení je stále v řízení, můžete si pro účely cestování požádat o tzv. překlenovací štítek.

🚑 Dobrou volbou je také vždy si před cestou sjednat cestovní zdravotní pojištění.

🇬🇧 Summer, holidays, and vacation time are approaching. If you’re planning a trip abroad, don’t forget a few essential rules.

📕 Always carry your passport and residence permit when travelling. Make sure your passport is still valid – some countries require a minimum validity period for entry.

🇪🇺 If you are a third-country national residing in Czechia with a long-term visa, long-term residence permit, or permanent residence permit, you may also travel within the Schengen Area. However, your total stay in other Schengen countries must not exceed 90 days within any 180-day period.

🗺 If you’re travelling outside the Schengen Area, we recommend checking the entry conditions of your destination country in advance. A Czech residence permit does not entitle you to enter non-Schengen countries. If you hold a visa, check whether it allows multiple entries – that is, whether you can return to the Schengen Area.

⏳ If your current residence permit has expired and your application for extension is still being processed, you can apply for a so-called bridging visa for travel purposes.

🚑 It’s also a good idea to arrange travel health insurance before you go.

Lately, the Ministry has started observing closely whether applicants have been fulfilling the purpose of their stay and not doing so leads to rejections of applications.

Act fast once you stop fulfilling the purpose for which your visa was granted. The fact that the Ministry doesn't notice during the validity of your visa doesn't mean they will not look into it when you apply for extension/some other visa type at the end of the validity.

Ukrainian nationals visa extension initiated.

• Temporary protection (D/DO visa code) visa extension is done online - one must register at ipc.gov.cz to show interest in the extension. At the end of the registration, it is possible to book a slot to collect a new extended visa sticker.

• Those holding Tolerance visa (D/VS/91 visa code) can simply make an appointment for the collection of the new extended visa sticker. No registration required. This is not yet possible, but should be any day now!

• In April, registration for Special long-term residency will be initiated. This special residency will be aimed for those living in the Czech Republic on the temporary protection visa for at least 2 years. Stay tuned for more information on this!
