This step-deck fish has a raised cork deck in the middle, fading into a flat deck. The idea behind the raised deck is to add volume in the right area and by doing so improve the buoyancy and turning sensitivity to improve functionality and ease of paddling.

The 60/40 tucked parabolic rails are made from individual layers of cork on a wooden frame. The bottom has a generous single concave running into a generous V in the tail.
