V elitním klubu udržitelnosti: Naše krumlovské hotely získaly prestižní certifikaci EU Ecolabel 🌿
Věděli jste, že evropskou ekoznačku EU Ecolabel drží v České republice v kategorii ubytovacích služeb dosud pouze čtyři zařízení?

S velkou hrdostí oznamujeme, že od 1. dubna se k nim přidávají i naše krumlovské hotely Hotel Růže a OLDINN.

Získání „Květiny“ (jak se logu Ecolabel přezdívá) a české národní značky Ekologicky šetrná služba (EŠS) není jen formální záležitost. Museli jsme projít náročným auditem a splnit desítky přísných technických parametrů.

Co jsme museli pro získání certifikace mimo jiné splnit?

- Vyřadili jsme produkty v malých baleních v pokojích i restauracích a u potravin dáváme přednost těm vratným.
- 50 % energie bereme z obnovitelných zdrojů a kde to jde si ji dokonce částečně sami vyrábíme.
- Šetříme energií i zdroji (šetrné vodovodní baterie, vytápění a chlazení je nastaveno na 22 °C, přešli jsme na úsporné osvětlení).
- Využíváme převážně služeb a produktů lokálních dodavatelů.

Tento úspěch je pilířem naší strategie „Green Care“. Krumlovské hotely se tak připojují k našemu pražskému hotelu PULSE8, který již drží mezinárodní certifikát Green Key. Jako skupina Jan Hotels se tímto zavazujeme k transformaci celého našeho portfolia směrem k udržitelné budoucnosti.

Joining the Elite Club of Sustainability: Our Hotels in Český Krumlov Have Received the Prestigious EU Ecolabel Certification 🌿
Did you know that only four establishments in the Czech Republic currently hold the EU Ecolabel in the accommodation services category?

We are very proud to announce that, as of April 1, our Krumlov hotels, Hotel Růže and OLDINN, have joined their ranks.

Earning the “Flower” (as the Ecolabel logo is nicknamed) and the Czech national label “Ecologically Friendly Service” (EŠS) is not just a formality. We had to undergo a rigorous audit and meet dozens of strict technical criteria.

What did we have to do to obtain certification, among other things?

- We have eliminated small-packaged products in rooms and restaurants, and for food items, we prioritize returnable containers
- We source 50% of our energy from renewable sources, and where possible, we even generate some of it ourselves
- We conserve energy and resources (water-saving faucets, heating and cooling set to 22 °C, we’ve switched to energy-efficient lighting)
- We primarily use services and products from local suppliers

This achievement is a cornerstone of our “Green Care” strategy. The Krumlov hotels are thus joining our Prague hotel PULSE8, which already holds the international Green Key certificate. As the Jan Hotels group, we hereby commit to transforming our entire portfolio toward a sustainable future.
