We’re often asked: What’s the right age to start kayaking? 🤔

Our answer: There are no limits! 🌊🤘

If kids show interest, there’s no reason to wait. There are many sports like skiing or biking which kids are able to learn in very small age. Kayaking is definitely one of them! It’s never too early to let them try paddling their own kayak – safely, of course 🌊

That means:
🚫 No spraydecks at the beginning
✅ Or only loose ones, especially when starting out in waves

Our smallest model Rocket fits a classic slalom spraydeck, which is usually loose enough to pop off easily in case of a flip ⚠️

At the beginning, kayaking should be pure fun – not training or drills. Let them play, enjoy, and slowly get the feeling of the water through their paddle 🚣‍♂️💙
