“Nothing is off the table; I love sharing my knowledge with anyone who’s curious,” says Kelly Wearstler. Since founding her Los Angeles-based interiors and architecture firm in 1995, Wearstler has been behind some of the most acclaimed hotel, commercial, and residential spaces around the globe.

Her work can be seen across , a brand for which she serves as creative director, and throughout the homes and interiors of Hollywood luminaries. Wearstler is also the founder of , an exhibition platform that offers a new, digital take on the traditional gallery model, and runs WEARSTLERWORLD, a Substack that gives insight into her designs.

For Issue 204, The Beautiful Game, is our first Akoni Eyewear Visionary.

Interior designer Cliff Fong has made a life around collecting, arranging, and recontextualizing beautiful things to create spaces that feel elevated, but alive. As a fashion designer, founder of the design firm and the influential antique showroom , he has helped define a distinctly Los Angeles vision of lived-in sophistication. His newest venture, , is an indoor-outdoor antique showroom he opened with rare plant specialist .

On the confluence between style and soul, Cliff shares, “I think authenticity is important…If you think about the people we admire for their style, it’s not the people who just have deep pockets. The style icons of my generation…were always a mixture of things. Maybe something branded, maybe something vintage, maybe a hand-me-down. But it was always cool and interesting.”
