I finished the video for the upcoming 'Fremont Bridge' single. 📼📹

It cost me more or less nothing + a friend + a traditional Polish lunch. Used a simple DJI drone, iPhone 13 MINI with the Filmic Pro App, cheap gimbal, Davinci Resolve for editing and some research on editing/colour grading/codecs/render settings with Gemini.

I have to say I really enjoy the freedom and satisfaction of DIY filmmaking - getting this quality using basically everyday equipment would be impossible when I was a teenager. Is this the best video ever that will win awards - naaahh. But hey I get to realise my vision with no constraints - isn't that the point of art?

🏙️ The story: One of the first people I encountered when I arrived in downtown Seattle was a homeless
man. He walked in a circle with his knees half bent, with a hollow, empty gaze, moving
hectically like a pigeon. This horrifying and depressing image stuck with me and I kept
wondering what must have been going through his mind at that time. This short, bitter,
Johnny Cash inspired ballad is my tribute to those amongst us who are isolated from the
world.

'Mad Men Of Ballard' is out now. The building in the picture is a former immigration detention and processing office in Seattle, WA. For over 70 years, most people migrating to the US through the Pacific Northwest had to pass through this very building. Some were let in, some were deported, and many were detained inside. You can still see their writing and signatures on the walls.

It is also where I had my music studio in Seattle, and it’s where most of the songs on this upcoming record were written. Fifteen years ago, the immigration building was transformed into a massive art enclave hosting over 125 artists, including myself. Located right next to the Seahawks stadium, a short walk from historic Pioneer Square, and caught between Chinatown and the industrial district—it was a troubled and scary area, to say the least.

Seattle was troubled, and so was I. Almost every moment I spent in there left an everlasting impact. This place means a lot to me, and it is the origin and the inspiration for this record.

I want to humbly dedicate these songs to the city of Seattle and many who struggle there in the most respectful way.
