wns: getting rid of the “debris” is always the goal. For over 55 years AS-Motor has been building machinery to solve specific problems in the care of lawns and gardens. As far back as the 50s, our founder Alfred Schefenacker (AS) built two-stroke engines and equipment for garden and landscape maintenance. On his walks through the local vineyards, he noted how difficult it was to maintain the narrow and steep vineyards. Mowing between the vines was too cumbersome with conventional lawn mowers and impossible with tractors. In order to solve this problem, AS-Motor introduced the first Allmäher® to the market,
designed specifically for mowing and mowing high grass and woody grapevine pruning. The mulch remained in the vineyard and served to both fertilise the soil, and prevent
extensive soil erosion. To date, the Allmäher® principle is an important foundation for many of our products. Over time, our product range has expanded in accordance with the diverse requirements of
the market. The introduction of the Ride-on Allmäher® in 2001 was another important step
towards making work easier for the user. Now large, steep slope areas and scrubland
can be mowed sitting down comfortably. In 2010 followed the Sherpa 940, a Ride-on
Allmäher® with all-wheel drive and differential lock. As a longtime engine manufacturer, we know that the engine is the heart of every machine. In many years of research, we developed a completely new two-stroke engine,
which is low in emissions just like a modern four-stroke engine. In fact, the cleanest
two-stroke engine in the world that is used in a petrol engine mower.
