For tonight's Retro Music Monday we head back to the first half of the 00s, which, barman Tom reliably tells me, was the trashiest half decade of music ever, which makes him like it all the more. As usual you are welcome to make requests from the era. Tom will be serving the drinks

For tonight's Retro Music Monday we go all the way back to 1979-84 which saw the rise of Britain's first openly gay band, Bronski Beat. There were of course plenty of singers still hiding in the shadows, although in the case of the two Georges (Boy and Michael), not that convincingly. As ever we are open to requests from the period
