If I am an advocate for anything it is exposure - exposure to different cultures, languages, people and perspectives. We should actively strive for exposure to people who look, act, love, pray and vote differently than we do, and most importantly maintain an open mind and an open heart. Travel is the exposure we all need; it can be a bold step towards building empathy, respect and curiosity for strangers.
