Enjoyably peppery, with a light hint of fresh floral coming through alongside brown sugar.

One of two vodkas released by Belvedere released part of their Single Estate Rye range in late 2017. This particular edition was crafted using rye grown on a single estate in Smogóry, a village in Poland surrounded by forests. The range aims to show off the terroir and quality of the rye grain which goes to making Belvedere's spirits. Compare it to the expression made with rye grown on the shores of Lake Bartezek.

Caol Ila, pronounced as “Cull Ee-la” is a small Islay distillery founded in 1846 nestled in a hidden cove near Port Askaig overlooking the strait between Islay and Jura. The history of Caol Ila is a little rough going as it changed hands multiple times over the years, shuttered during WWII due to barley restrictions and finally seeing the entire distilling facility demolished in 1972. Shortly thereafter in 1974, production resumed before finally becoming a part of Diageo and taking the place as the largest distillery in Islay both in size and production. Caol Ila is readily known as one of the lighter, more nuanced and delicate of the Islay single malts with the 12 year as their entry level offering originally debuting in the summer of 2002. It is bottled at a modest 86 proof.

Finish: Spicy, warming, creamy finish.

GREY GOOSE was created in 1997 by Sidney Frank and the brand’s Maître de Chai (Cellar Master), Francois Thibault. It was acquired by Bacardi in 2004.
Francois was inspired by his training as a cognac cellar master and created a vodka designed to express the true taste and character of the ingredients. He still oversees every step of the unique journey from field to bottle.

GREY GOOSE vodka is distilled in the gastronomy capital of the world, France, using the traditions of the Maître de Chai with only two ingredients – single-origin Picardie winter wheat and natural spring water.
