I moved from Cidadela to Palmarejo & I love it so far 🤍 The space, the location, the vibe… it just fits me and my baby better.

Now let’s clear this up—Cabo Verde is still way more affordable than the U.S, but it’s NOT as “cheap” as people expect. Everything is imported, so rent, groceries, and especially furnishing a place adds up QUICK.

At the same time, people here aren’t as fixated on consumerism. It’s really a “less is more” lifestyle, which I actually love.

And baby… NEGOTIATE 😭 because if y’all knew the number we started at, I might as well had stayed in the states lol.

My neighbor literally gagged when I told her how much I pay and found me a place for $350/month 👀 but guess what… it was unfinished. And furnishing it here? That would’ve cost me WAY more in the long run. So I’m good where I’m at for now 😂

My last place was $450/month, so deals are definitely out here—it just depends on what you’re willing to sacrifice.
