In accordance with its firm and sustained commitment to support and contribute as much as possible to legitimate international efforts to put an end to the genocide committed against the Palestinian people, the Government of the Republic of Cuba has decided to intervene in the contentious proceedings initiated by the Republic of South Africa against the State of Israel before the International Court of Justice.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 63 of the Statute of the Court, and in strict observance of its obligations as a State Party to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, Cuba will make use of its right to present, as a Third State, its interpretation of the norms of the Convention that Israel has flagrantly violated with its actions in the illegally occupied Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip.
The complaint filed with the principal judicial organ of the United Nations is aimed primarily at stopping the atrocities against the Palestinian people as a result of Israel's disproportionate and indiscriminate use of force.
Israel, with total impunity, protected by the complicity of the US government, ignores its obligations as an Occupying Power under the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Genocide, apartheid, forced displacement and collective punishment have no place in today's world, nor can they be tolerated by the international community. Justice and respect for the UN Charter and international law must prevail.

The 10th Legislature of the Cuban Parliament will have 470 deputies, who will be elected on March 26 in the national elections, after being nominated in 168 Municipal Assemblies of People's Power.

The candidates are currently holding meetings with the population, in tours by the communities and production and services centers, as well as in educational, scientific and armed institutions, until March 24.

👉Declaration of the Union of Young Communists of Cuba before the coup attempt in Brazil
January 8th, 2023.

The Union of Young Communists of Cuba - UJC, its student organizations and youth movements, firmly condemn the violent, fascist and anti-democratic acts that have taken place in Brazil, with the aim of generating chaos and disrespecting the popular will expressed with the election of the President Lula.
Once again, the hatred multiplied and promoted by oligarchic interests, determined to preserve their interests and turn their backs on the great masses who fight for their rights, intends to return to the dark times of the bloodiest dictatorships.
In the face of these macabre attempts that are replicated in the nations of the south, where the left has triumphed, unity, intelligent resistance and the strongest trenches are imposed in the cultural and media war, within which young people will always be the guarantee of that better world that we will not give up.
The will of the Brazilian people must be respected.
We will be alert and willing to make a timely and forceful complaint.
The voice of the Cuban youth will rise permanently in favor of justice and truth.
