YOU SHOULD BE MAKING MISTAKES. Here is why 👇

Robert Kiyosaki: “In the real world, the smartest people are people who make mistakes and learn. In school, the smartest people don't make mistakes.”⠀

R.K. brings the willing to try something new and taking risks in connection with making mistakes and mproving yourself.

R.K. is an entrepreneur and we are learning foreign languages. What can we learn from him?⠀

Well: keep making f***ing mistakes!⠀

Try it, take a risk and build that sentence! Use that new word or that new grammar rule that you have just learned! DO something, just don't sit quietly because you are afraid of making mistakes! ⠀

And: NEVER-EVER apologise for making mistakes! It means that you are trying and that you'll improve yourself, just keep going!⠀
My students know that I don't like correcting them. I HAVE to do it, but I am NOT ENJOYING it. I prefer writing down mistakes and then talking about the most relevant ones at the end of my student's talk, conversation, presentation etc. Then we talk about their biggest mistakes and not about all of them. And I always first praise because I really think that it's important.⠀

I want you to know that I'm proud of you, of all the effort that you are putting in. Just keep up the good job!⠀

You know that the best results achieve the 'charming' people who are not afraid of speaking to native speakers. And their biggest advantige is that they're not afraid of making mistakes.⠀

Are you afraid of making mistakes? Does it paralize you?⠀

p.s. my Insta-channel contains mistakes too. Please don't write me private messages correcting my English. Usually haters do that and... I love making mistakes 😊

SHAKE IT - BUT DON'T MIX IT UP! 😊

benutzen = to use something for its purpose⠀

for example: man benutzt einen Flaschenöffner, um Flaschen zu öffnen; einen Fön, um Haare zu trocknen; eine Schere, um etwas zu schneiden; eine Seife, um sich Hände zu waschen⠀

nutzen = to take advantage of something⠀

for example: man kann eine Chance, eine Gelegenheit, ein Vorteil, ein Angebot nutzen

Alles klar?⠀
Did you know the difference?⠀

COOK LIKE A PRO⠀
✔ underline all new words in the text⠀

✔ ask yourself what are the relevant words and make a selection⠀

✔ choose only 8 new words⠀

✔ make sure that you pronounce them correctly (check out the pronounciation in online dictionaries)⠀

✔ find the meaning of each word in a dictionary⠀

✔ stay focused only on 1 meaning of the word⠀

✔ find morphological characterisrics for that word (gender and plural form for nouns, for verbs: regular or irregular verb? haben or sein in Perfekt? separable-unseparable prefix? any prepositions?)⠀

✔ "exemine" that new word in order to see if you can relate it to anything that you know from before: devide it in parts; ask yourself: does it look/sound like anything else that you alredy know; can you imagine a picture in your mind that would contain the new word and its associations? Great!⠀

✔ sentence mining: find example sentences for that 1 meaning (in the initial text, online: Reverso, Linguee, online dictionaries, Twitter advanced search)⠀

✔ again pictures and emotions: write down only example sentences that evoke emotions and pictures in your mind.

✔ repeat new words in intervals: 1 day after you first learned them, and then again in 7 and in 21 days.⠀

✔ if you want to keep your new words always with you so that you can take a look at them at any time (while waiting in a traffic jam or smt. similar), install the Quizlet application on your phone.⠀

✔ if you want your new words and phrases to pop up on the screen of your phone every time when you access other apps, then connect your Quizlet list with the Semper app.⠀

✔ after 6 weeks, sit down and rewrite all new words from the list⠀

✔ of course, when you feel ready, try to build your own sentences with that new word. Remember: only after you use the new word 10 times in your own sentences, you can say that you KNOW that word = that you have really aquired it⠀

🏁 native speakers use 2000-3000 words every day. It means that by learning 5-8 words daily you could reach that goal in 1 year.
