We all know that this is a trick question, and let me tell you right away – answering with something like “My biggest weakness is I am a workaholic” won’t do the trick.
When asked this question, the trick is in finding the right balance between self- awareness and honesty. Don’t try to play it smart by saying “I don’t have any, ha ha!” but answers like “I am always late to work, every day, and can’t do anything about it” won’t work either.
So, what do you say when asked this question? Pick an actual weakness that you have and explain how you are working to improve it. Give an example. And remember – balance!
📍Useful phrases:
💬 I tend to be a people pleaser, but this year I took a training that helped me become more assertive.
💬 I used to be very critical of my own work, but now I make a conscious effort to trust myself and my quality.
💬 I don’t have experience in this field. That, however, will give me the opportunity to learn more. I am enthusiastic and ready to learn on my own or with your help.
📍Example answer:
“I used to be very stressed out when I have to speak in front of a large crowd. However, since my job requires me to give speeches and presentations, I decided to push myself outside of my comfort zone and started volunteering to speak at our team meetings – it was hard, but my colleagues were very supportive of me. Little by little, I have become more relaxed. There’s still work to do but I am definitely making progress.”

The format of classes at English for Success has changed several times since it was first opened - it grew along with me. Right now, there are three ways that we can work together:
🗣👤1-on-1 work: My students and I kinda agreed that these sessions look more like half-English classes, half-psychotherapy. 😂 and I think both sides like it that way.
My individual approach consists of working with you on whatever it is that you need to work on. It could be improving your grammar, preparing for a job interview, widening your vocabulary, improving your writing, practicing conversation - or a combination of all of these things. And sometimes, we just talk about what’s going on in your life, in English. 🤗 That’s why my tagline is “more than just an English class” - my students actually told me this is the perfect one.
👥👥Business Chit-Chat: This is a group program where we practice conversation in a stress-free environment.
We gather in groups of up to four students in six time slots each week (Mondays and Thursdays at 11 AM, 5 and 6 PM) and we talk about pre-determined topics. At the beginning of each month, you receive a schedule of topics and pick eight of them that work best for you or sound the most interesting. We always have the funniest, most amusing conversations in these classes and I truly enjoy the various mixes of students that find common topics and discuss them in English.
👤💼Business English for companies: For companies that are willing and ready to invest in their employees and ensure that they are ready and capable of expressing themselves in English, whether it is in a meeting, during a negotiation, or a business conference, I prepare completely individualized programs that last anywhere between three and 12 months.
Classes are held in small groups of up to five students and they allow us to practice conversation alongside business vocabulary, useful idioms, writing, or whatever we agreed upon.

Throughout my career, I have taught at several online schools of English.
I worked with children, students, and business people, and they have been at very different levels. That really helped me figure out what I like to do. 😊
✅ What I discovered is that I enjoy teaching English to people in business. I love working with people who know what they want, who want to accomplish something by learning English. That's why I created a program of English for those people.🤗
Ever since then, I've been blessed with my students because they are all amazing. And I love to help them speak English in a business environment (and in life in general), and it is not just terms and vocabulary - it is also confidence.
👉 The point is that you feel free to talk in English, to express your thoughts and say your ideas out loud at meetings, to present, to talk to your clients or superiors, to get a raise, to have a job interview or anything else that you need. But not only that. I want you to feel confident and comfortable speaking English in any situation, whether it’s business-related or not. I want you to stop being scared of using this language to get what you want and deserve. I found that as my purpose. ❣️
