The footage was filmed by a family friend, whose family grew up around ours in the 90s. We didn’t keep in touch but ended up living in the same neighborhood decades later, and he shared these video recordings that he had recently digitized.

As a toddler then, I didn't remember this day, but thanks to him I have so much more to hold with me.

As much as I tried to broaden the lyrics to conceal it, this song is about losing my mom, who I love seeing full of life here :)
