⭐️Our project team members, Dr. Irina Jevrosimov and Prof. Dr. Marijana Kragulj Isakovski, participated with poster presentations at the 4th International and 16th National Congress of the Serbian Society of Soil Science, entitled The Soil Re-Union: Science for Healthy Soils. Participation in this important event was a great honor and a valuable opportunity to exchange up-to-date knowledge related to soil health.

🧷📚The titles of the research presented by our team members were as follows:

INFLUENCE OF SELECTED ORGANIC SOIL AMENDMENTS ON THE SORPTION OF 2,4-DB
Authors: Irina Jevrosimov, Thorsten Hüffer, Gabriel Sigmund, Thilo Hofmann, Snežana Maletić

ORGANIC AMENDMENTS AND PESTICIDE RETENTION IN SOILS
Authors: Marijana Kragulj Isakovski, Jelena Beljin, Tamara Apostolović, Irina Jevrosimov, Srđan Rončević, Snežana Maletić

💫On October 16, 2025, our TwinSubDyn team had the honor to co-organize an insightful lecture by Dr. Jelena Grahovac, senior research associate and molecular biologist from the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, and the winner of the COST Innovators Grant NEXTGENDER (IG20137).

➡️The event, held at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Chemistry, focused on the importance of integrating the gender dimension in scientific research, both as a key component of Horizon Europe project applications and as a factor that improves the quality and relevance of research outcomes across disciplines.

Dr. Grahovac presented fundamental concepts and practical examples from various scientific fields, highlighting how considering s*x and gender in research design enhances the impact and inclusivity of scientific results.

The lecture was organized within the project, with the co-organization of -CECs (GA No. 101059867) – University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technology Novi Sad, TwinSubDyn (GA No. 101059546) – Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad and NEXT-GENDER (COST CA20137) – Capacity building for the next generation of researchers and evaluators to engage in inclusive s*x and gendered research initiatives — joining efforts to promote gender equality, excellence, and collaboration in science.

📢 TwinSubDyn proudly participated in ICCE Belgrade 2025 – the International Conference on Chemistry and the Environment! 🌿🧪
🔬 Our team presented two research contributions:
1️⃣ “Leveraging biochars and hydrochars for effective sequestration and biodegradation of organophosphorus pesticides”
2️⃣ “Impact of organic soil amendments on the sorption of cypermethrin and cyprodinil in Danube alluvial soil”
👏 We are especially proud that Prof. Dr. Snežana Maletić, PI of the TwinSubDyn project, served as a member of the Scientific Committee and Session Chair, contributing to the quality and success of the conference.
