Apply for the German Bundestag's International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) global 2027!

We are looking for politically engaged young university graduates from Serbia, who wish to gain in-depth insight into Germany's parliamentary system.

The program is conducted annually under the patronage of the President of the German Bundestag in cooperation with Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and Technische Universität Berlin.

The programme runs from March to July 2027. During the five-month stay, participants receive comprehensive insight into parliamentary work. The core element of the scholarship is a three-month internship in the office of a member of parliament. During the programme, participants are enrolled at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin for the summer semester and may attend one or two courses during the internship phase. The Berlin universities also offer additional academic formats.

Eligibility requirements
• Citizenship of an IPS participating country
• Under 30 years of age at the start of the scholarship
• Completed university degree (at least a bachelor's degree)
• Strong interest in political and social issues
• Civic and/or political engagement
• Very good German language skills (at least level B2)

Scholarship benefits
• A monthly stipend of €700
• Free accommodation in a residential facility
• Coverage of travel costs to and from Germany
• Health, accident, and liability insurance
