GUMMIES
“GUMMIES” responds to a post-COVID dystopian world, exploring the tension between reality and illusion. The work is structured symmetrically: the right side features vivid, high-impact illustrations that express the author’s shock and interpretation of this chaotic era, while the left side consists of AI-generated images that echo this mood. These AI images, with plastic-like textures, suspended elements, and artificial distortions, reflect the complexities of social and interpersonal dynamics. The absence of detailed human faces symbolizes growing indifference, while the unchecked spread of multimedia-driven fallacies is subtly revealed.

This experimental project investigates how AI perceives and interprets human-created works. The author first analyzes the AI-generated images before finalizing the compositions, exposing the unsettling nature of seemingly “real” yet distorted worlds. Through its striking visuals, “GUMMIES” urges viewers to reflect on reality, illusion, the evolving relationship between humans and technology, and the contradictions of modern society.
