ABBBC Italian Wine Master Class by Interprocom in Beijing
Joining forces with Beijing's high end commercial complex - China Central Place (CCP), Interprocom presented some of our top wines to CCP's members in a Master Class format for the first time in 2022.
The Master Class took place on August 17th to 18th, in the showroom space located across the road from Huamao's high-end office complex and in close proximity to SKP - Beijing's top luxury shopping area.
Bertani's Amarone, Borgogno's Barolo as well as Val di Suga's Brunello di Montalcino turned out to be among the top 3 purchased wines following the event.
ABBBC - the theme of the event - refers to Amarone, Brunello di Montalcino, Barolo, Barbaresco & Chianti Classico. These are known in China as "Italy's 5 big DOCGs". The wines are famous among the wine-loving audience and are also a perfect starting point to familiarize oneself with Italian wines for a general audience. On the one hand, the selection is suitable for the various tastes of the mass consumer, and on the other hand, it is very representative of Italy. It not only balances the consumption habits and taste preferences of the guests, but also better expresses the style of Italian wine. The sample wine of the same year is conducive to the consumer's understanding of the region and the year to form a general concept.
The wine presentation was complemented by a guest speaker, Freddo Liu - the speaker at wine2wine, editor and owner of an online wine platform Vinofreddo.online and an Italian Wine Ambassador certified by Vinitaly International Academy.
"The guests during the two days of the event were quite different," - Freddo noted. "Those who came on the first day paid more attention to the selection of collectibles, such as high-end Riserva wines. In the second session, the guests were more professional, they were interested in a lot of specific wine knowledge, and they were also more mature in tasting. They had many ideas and experiences of their own, and also knew more about Italian wine,"- he said.
Freddo has also expressed that more events like these introducing Italian wine traditions and natural heritage would be useful to deepen consumers' understanding and interest in Italian wines.
