✨ Word of the Week: Exulansis ✨
At Talks on Tap, we believe in creating spaces where meaningful discussions thrive, and each talk comes with a Word of the Week to inspire reflection and connect our growing community. This week, we chose “Exulansis” from The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. It’s the poignant feeling of giving up on trying to explain something because no one seems to understand.
💡 Exulansis is a reminder of the importance of listening, empathy, and creating spaces where all voices are heard—a cornerstone of what we aim to foster at each Think Tank Tap Talk.
Let’s take this word as a challenge to listen more deeply, communicate more openly, and create connections that truly matter.
📚 Credit to John Koenig’s The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows for this powerful addition to our vocabulary.
🗓️ We can’t wait to see how this concept resonates with you at future talks!

📖 Word of the Week: Sonder
Our host, Nicole Bonnah, opened the evening with a thought-provoking word from the irresistibly textured book, The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. The word? Sonder: The realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.
She asked the room, “How often do you experience sonder, and how does it shape the way you connect with others?” Let us know your thoughts in the comments below! ⬇️✨
