We’re on the road in Guangzhou, sampling classic dim sum at the old-school Garden Hotel.

Several of our Shanghai friends in Shanghai slid into our DMs to point out that the robot jianbing maker in our video seems… slow
You’re not wrong! But also: this is a Beijing style Jianbing. It’s thicker than its Shanghai brethren and gets flipped to fully cook the egg.
Shanghai-style? Faster, thinner, crispier, no flip.

The Beijing Jianbing robot? 3 minutes, 22 seconds.
Looks like humans are still winning… for now.
