This weekend in Douala Bonaberi, NBA Memorial Foundation was honoured at the Golden Awards — 7th Edition as Best Humaniterian foundation.

Words cannot fully capture what this moment means to us. But we'll try.

This award does not belong to a building or a title. It belongs to every community member who trusted us enough to learn. Every parent who brought their child to our training. Every volunteer who showed up. Every life we have been privileged to touch.

Drowning prevention is not glamorous work. It is quiet, consistent, and urgent. And to have that work recognised on a stage like the Golden Awards is a reminder that showing up, every single day matters.

To our partners, our team, our focal officers across Yaoundé, Buea, and Limbe, this is yours too. 💙

Ce week-end à Douala Bonaberi, la Fondation Mémorial NBA a été honorée lors des Golden Awards — 7ème Édition.

Les mots ne suffisent pas à exprimer ce que ce moment représente pour nous. Mais nous allons essayer.

Ce prix n'appartient pas à un bâtiment ni à un titre. Il appartient à chaque membre de la communauté qui nous a fait confiance. À chaque parent qui a amené son enfant à nos formations. À chaque bénévole qui s'est présenté. À chaque vie que nous avons eu le privilège de toucher.

La prévention de la noyade n'est pas un travail spectaculaire. C'est un travail discret, constant et urgent. Et voir ce travail reconnu sur une scène comme les Golden Awards nous rappelle que se présenter — chaque jour — fait la différence.
