Many orphaned children face the challenge of returning to school without the basic tools they need - , , school , writing materials and even . This campaign is our way of ensuring they step into the classroom with dignity, confidence, and hope for a brighter future.
💡 Every child deserves a fair chance at education.

We're elated to announce the publication of our latest research in the World Health Organization (WHO) Bulletin, highlighting our innovative and screening model designed for developing countries - the . This achievement builds on Shomea's work since 2021, where we've successfully screened over 10,000 new-borns in multiple hospitals across Cameroon - Laquintinie Hospital in Douala, Bonassama District hospital, and Regional Hospitals and in 12 hospitals in the Northwest region of Cameroon, in partnership with ALDAC, Ministère de la Santé Publique du Cameroun and the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services.
We are confident that through this work, we can push for policy modification in order to have national new-born screening programs in accordance with the JCIH of 2019 and the World Health Organization (WHO)'s recommendations. This model is scalable to other countries through appropriate training that can be facilitated by Shomea .
A big shout out to the entire Shomea team and to our partners.
