The 4-day Quality System Management (QMS) training using the toolkit for some laboratory personnel in Kinshasa and Lubumbashi - DR Congo by a team from ended with the selection of Improvements Projects (IPs) by each participant from the 04 modules covered. Actual measurable laboratory improvement is the desired outcome of the SLMTA/SLIPTA program.
In small-groups of learning, each participant received a one-on-one coaching to develope an individualized implemnetable plan for his/her improvement projects.
This will be followed by a supportive supervisory visit by GHSS mentors/Auditors and results of these projects will be presented during SLMTA 3 training.
This presentation encourages participants to synthesize, summarise, and share their experiences, thereby building a learning network among in-country peers. #

An empirical assessment has found that The quality of healthcare delivery is poorly assessed and monitored in Cameroon and in most Countries of the Cemac region.
Quality and safety of patient care are also compromised in many procedures of healthcare delivery in these Countries as lack of quality improvement culture required to monitor compliance to basic international standards of patient care is almost completely absent.
