When we talk about justice, we must also talk about self discipline.

Mr Maimo reminded the room that,
if we want safer communities for women and girls,
we must check our own words, our own choices, our own silence.

Self discipline is,
not forwarding that harmful joke,
not blaming the survivor,
not using your power to intimidate,
choosing respect even when no one is watching.

Justice starts inside each of us, then moves to the system.
