Reelaxing Fishing Charters

Jellybeans were on today!!! Captain Katoa had his hands full of fish this morning with some happy customers getting to experience deep sea fishing .
The weather has been up and down lately but we have had some keen anglers willing to give it a go. Some times we win but other times the fishy’s get the last laughs. But hey, that’s fishing .

Weather has definitely been up and down this week, but when the skipper says it’s safe and the punters are keen to get a little wet, then it’s fishing time!!!
Nice work today team ,pulling this nice size wahoo into the boat.
Wahoo grow incredibly fast and reach sexual maturity within their very first year of life.
High Fecundity: They are highly productive, with females capable of releasing millions of eggs per batch, and up to 30 to 100 million eggs in a single spawning season to ensure species survival.Short Lifespan: Despite their large size growing up to 8 feet,2.4 meters and over 81kgs!! they only live for about 5 to 6 years, that’s crazy.

Had all the rods screaming this morning with captain Katoa at the helm. Even had one fish get a visit from the tax man (Shark)!
The water lately has been teaming with fish and a lot of bait, but still fish or no fish it’s always good to get out on the water to explore and check out what our office looks like.

Today we had the first day of the "Rarotongan Open Fishing Competition” kick off at mid day. We had the team "The Floaters” today and within the first half hr from leaving the harbor, captain Katoa hooked up on these two beauties!
With some team work and chaos the boys managed to squeeze these two massive tuna into the Yeti . Job done . No more room for more fish. Home time .

Last few trips we managed to put some blood In the bin and some smiles on faces .
The tuna have been feeding hard on some bait fish that seams to be hugging the reef right round the island .
We have been getting strikes and landing nice size tuna in less then 30 meters of water! This is CRAZY!
Captain Katoa cracked it today with this whopper 50kg Yellowfin Tuna , definitely had some happy customers being able to experience the raw power of a tuna . Nice job boys. 👏
To top the charter off , we finished off with some nice fresh sashimi and story’s of the day.
