Kia orana.
I will be back on Island for 2 weeks starting Thursday 10th October through to Wednesday 23rd October 2024 working out of the same place... Rarotonga Printing, Ara Tapu, Tupapa, next door to Cook Island News. I am looking forward to seeing you all again and I appreciate your continued patronage and support.
I am pleased to report that the results of recent research out of the New Zealand College of Chiropractic by Dr Heidi Haavic PhD, helps us to further understand the power of a chiropractic adjustment and its benefits to the body, particularly to the nervous system and the brain. See her with Russell Brand explaining her research here...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgwXAzTqJVU
What the research is telling us is that a subluxated spine (a spinal joint that has lost its normal position and coordination with the rest of the spine and which can cause stiffness, tightness and pain amongst other things), creates a situation within the body that causes a mal-adaption of the fine controlling muscles of the spine. These fine controlling muscles are more than mere muscles. They are sensory organs that the brain depends on in order to get a sense of where the body is in space (proprioception), movement of the spine in relation to the environment (whether you are sitting, walking, running or sleeping). If these muscles are mal-adapted they eventually become weak and are unable to "report" to the brain their vital information. This is where things go terribly wrong. What results is your back starts to feel stiff, tight or achy. You don't feel fully at ease when resting or sleeping. Eventually, this can lead to degeneration and serious dysfunction and pain that may need surgical intervention.
However, a series of chiropractic spinal adjustments will start to wake up these fine motor controlling muscles of the spine and start them working again. They will eventually get strong again and start reporting that vital information that the brain needs to do its job more effectively.
Now you can take advantage of the opportunity to see a New Zealand registered and trained chiropractor, with over 24 years’ experience, without having to leave Rarotonga. You will receive the same type of care that is discussed in the research.

IMPORTANT!!!
Being a registered primary health care provider, I am required to keep and maintain accurate health records. If you are new and are about to make your first appointment, you will be asked to enter some details about yourself so your appointment can be locked in. You must use your own personal details, including your email and mobile number (except for minors who can be registered with their parent’s email and mobile), as this information identifies you from others in the database who may have the same name.
Once you have booked your first visit appointment, please keep an eye out for your confirmation email. That email contains a hyperlink to your Health History form that you will need to complete and submit before you arrive for your appointment. Take your time to answer the questions fully and accurately as this will form part of your health record and will allow me to conduct an appropriate consultation and examination based on the information you provide.
My local mobile number will be working once I land in Raro. That number is +68280827.
I look forward to seeing you all.

14/01/2020
Kia orana and happy new year. I am back on Island again working Monday 20th to Thursday 23rd then Monday 27th to Friday 31st January.
I am Dr Chad Esaiah, a chiropractor of 20+ years. I am a New Zealand born Cook Islander whose father is from Tongareva. I provide outcome based chiropractic care to those who need help with a structural or neurological health issue or want to maintain or improve on their current health and performance. To do this requires some commitment. Commitment from you to do as much as you can (I can give you some guidance on that if needed) and commitment from me to return regularly enough to provide you with the care that will help you in your health pursuit. I love it when I see people achieve their best physical, mental and emotional version of themselves. I make it a goal to return every 6 - 8 weeks to help as many people who need chiropractic as possible.
This time round I will have my niece with me to assist me at reception. She is also a NZ born Cook Islander and is visiting for her first time. Her name is Tyler Sutton. She is looking forward to meeting you. She will be behind the desk eagerly waiting to greet you with her beautiful smile.
Many of you have already received a chiropractic checkup and adjustment from me before. Some of you are wondering if you should take the plunge and make an appointment. I hope you do. Some of you may want to know more... therefore the following statement explains my purpose and my goal when I interact with each person that comes in to see me....
"My purpose is to help you achieve the balance and vitality you need to enjoy vibrant health and productive longevity. I recognise the inherent ability of your body to organise, regenerate and heal itself in a powerful and intelligent way. For that intelligent process to occur properly and completely, your body requires that it functions well and is free of interference to your nervous system. It is my mission to reduce a major source of nerve interference, within the spine and other joints of the body (called a subluxation) to the smallest degree, so your body can begin to reorganise, regenerate and heal on a much deeper level. A subluxated spinal vertebra is one that is not functioning well and is considered to be "stuck" and which alters and impairs your nervous system's communication.
To correct a subluxated joint I will perform what is known as a chiropractic spinal adjustment which aims to restore proper joint and nerve function. This then enables your body to achieve even greater balance and performance in every facet of your life. This is why many professional teams and athletes in North America and around the world get regular chiropractic spinal adjustments before and after every competitive event.
You don't have to be a professional athlete to enjoy the benefits of chiropractic adjustments. You deserve to be the best physical version of yourself no matter how old you are, or what level of sport you play, or what type of work you do. You deserve to perform at your very best. Meitaki"
If you would like to receive a chiropractic check up but have not seen me before then you can request an appointment by leaving a message on this post or private message me on the "Chiro in Raro" page. You can also book online through the "Book Now" button on this page. We will need your name, your date of birth, your email and your mobile number please. It is important that you provide your own mobile number as txt is our best way of communicating with you. It will also ensure we preserve patient confidentiality.
You can also contact me on my local number 80827 from Monday 20th through to Friday 31st January. Meitaki Maata.
