Most of the Covid19 restrictions in Switzerland will be lifted as of February 17:
- A certificate is no longer required, neither in restaurants, nor in cinemas, nor in theaters, nor at events.
- It is no longer necessary to wear a mask in the workplace, in stores, in indoor areas of restaurants or at events.
- The official recommendation to work in a home office is eliminated.
- There are no restrictions on the number of people for private meetings and large events. Voluntary capacity restrictions in stores and cable cars have also been ended.
- Border measures are abandoned, there are no more entry restrictions.
- The obligation to wear face masks on public transport and in healthcare facilities remains in force until the end of March 2022.
- The obligation to isolate persons who have tested positive in a Covid test also remains in force.
If the situation evolves as expected, the special situation will end on April 1, 2022. Thereafter, the obligation to wear a mask on public transport and the isolation obligation will also be abolished.
NEW PARTNER OLIVIER VUILLAUME

Olivier Vuillaume has been practicing law for 15 years, in particular in contract, construction, real estate and employment law as well as in litigation and out-of-court dispute resolution. Prior to joining REBER, he was partner and Head of Litigation in an established Zurich commercial law firm. Olivier Vuillaume is a proven expert in construction and real estate law and in employment law. He is particularly experienced in litigation in these as well as in other areas of law. Olivier Vuillaume advises and represents companies and private individuals as well as municipalities and public authorities.
Olivier Vuillaume studied law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). He was admitted to the bar of the Canton of Zurich in 2006. In 2017, he was certified by the Swiss Bar Association (SBA) as a Certified Specialist SBA Construction and Real Estate Law and in 2021 also as a Certified Specialist SBA Employment Law.
Olivier Vuillaume practices fluently in written and spoken German and English and has a good knowledge of Spanish and French.
