This week in Singapore, ISO President Dr Khaled Soufi, Secretary-General Sergio Mujica, and Deputy Secretary-General Silvio Dulinsky joined members, partners and stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region for a series of events on the future of International Standards.
👉 At the ISO Council meeting, Council members came together for their regular biannual discussion. As one of ISO’s principal governance bodies, the Council plays a key role in ensuring our work remains relevant, inclusive and impactful.
👉 Dr Khaled Soufi and Sergio Mujica kick-started the week with a Young Professionals workshop, encouraging emerging leaders from across the Asia-Pacific and PASC region to bring their ideas, energy and perspectives to the standards community and help shape the future of standardization.
👉 We joined industry leaders at the Standards & Conformance Summit, where Sergio Mujica and Dr Khaled Soufi took to the stage to discuss how International Standards can help scale innovation, support interoperability, and build trust across global markets.
Thank you to our hosts Singapore Standards Council and to everyone who contributed to a productive and inspiring week of dialogue and collaboration, as we joined colleagues in celebrating SSC’s 60 years as a standards body, and 40 years as an accreditation body.

Happy World Environment Day! 🌱
Good conversations create good partnerships, which lies at the heart of ISO’s work.
Today, ISO colleagues joined the Geneva Environment Network, connecting with organizations from across the international community to discuss climate action and sustainability.
It was a valuable opportunity for colleagues to learn from the experiences and perspectives of other organizations, while also sharing how International Standards can help drive progress.
Thank you to our hosts at the Geneva Environment Network and everyone who took part! We look forward to continuing the conversation.
