🇱🇦 TB innovation reaching communities in Lao PDR!
Stop TB Partnership is happy to serve countries and bring innovative solutions to the field.
With funding support from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (厚生労働省), portable X-ray and AI-CAD system is now being used by the National TB Center for TB screening activities in Vientiane Province, including Hinheup and Met Districts.
Thank you to all partners who made this possible. Together, we move closer to ending TB.

Greetings from Bangkok, Thailand! 🇹🇭
Kicking off day 1 of a whole week of learnings, deliberations, planning and brainstorming about how best to use Near Point of Care tests (NPOC) 🫁 in the TB response.
We started the week with our TB REACH Wave 11+ grantees from 14 countries sharing learnings, feasibility, challenges, and quality data from numerous settings from across high TB settings. These are the front runners in global uptake and will show TB programs how best to use the tests!
This meeting will set the stage for what’s to come next, a global 🌏 meeting on NPOC co-hosted with The Global Fund later this week. Follow along to know more!
We want to thank Canada’s International Development – Global Affairs Canada Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the Gates Foundation for their continuing support.

🇯🇵 Innovation in action for !
On 26 June, Stop TB Partnership and Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (厚生労働省) hosted the 5th edition of the One-on-One Consultations for Companies in Tokyo. Since launching this initiative in May 2023, the consultations have provided a platform to connect Japanese innovation with global health needs.
This round brought together 10 organizations (listed in alphabetical order): Acoustic Innovations, AdvanSentinel, Eiken Chemical, Fortience/NTT DATA, LPIXEL, PHC Corporation, Saitama University, TAUNS Laboratories, Taiyo Corporation, and Toyota Tsusho.
From diagnostics and AI to medical devices, mobility, and other emerging technologies, discussions explored innovative solutions that could help address TB and broader global health challenges, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
We thank all participating organizations and look forward to continuing our collaboration to help translate innovation into impact.
