🎥 The recording of the SGA keynote lecture by Prof. Simon M. Jowitt at ICYG - International Conference of Young Geologists 2026 is now available on YouTube.

The lecture, delivered within the SGA Keynote Speaker Program, was one of the highlights of the conference and addressed the role of mining and mineral resources in modern society, climate change mitigation, and the opportunities this field offers to young geologists.

Talk title:
Who needs mining, and who does mining need? The role of the minerals industry in modern society and climate change mitigation and opportunities for young geologists.

The conference was organised by the Faculty of Science, Charles University, together with SGA - Student Chapter Prague.
