: 🇨🇭🇬🇧 A case of internal resorption on a lower central incisor
▪ At general check-up, a 55 years old woman complained from slight irritation at the area of her right lower central incisior. After clinical examination, a periapical X-ray was taken.
▪ As all neighboring teeth are healthy, internal resorption was clearly deep beneath the gum level, surrounding the neck of that lower right central incisor.
▪ Once the established treatment plan and estimated costs were accepted, the tooth was extracted atraumatically, then shortly after, a Straumann BLT 2.9 mm implant was inserted with a little simultaneous lateral bone augmentation (Donos et al., 2008).
▪ During implant healing and osseointegration, a provisional prosthesis was provided for the patient as she awaits her screw-retained crown and definitive restoration.
▪ Patient was happy to leave with a confident smile and be able to eat with no apparent missing tooth (Buser, Chappuis, Janner & Belser, 2019).

: 🇨🇭🇫🇷 Un cas de résorption interne sur une incisive centrale inférieure
▪ Lors d’un check-up général, une femme de 55 ans s'est plainte d'une légère irritation au niveau de son incisive centrale inférieure droite. Après examen clinique, une radiographie périapicale a été prise.
▪ Comme toutes les dents voisines sont saines, la résorption interne (ou granulome dentaire interne idiopathique) était clairement profonde sous le niveau de la gencive, entourant le col de cette incisive centrale inférieure droite.
▪ Une fois le plan de traitement établi et les coûts estimés acceptés, la dent a été extraite de manière atraumatique, puis peu de temps après, un implant Straumann BLT 2,9 mm a été posé avec une petite augmentation osseuse latérale simultanée (Donos et al., 2008).
▪ Lors de la cicatrisation implantaire et de l'ostéointégration, une prothèse amovible provisoire a été mise en bouche de la patiente en attendant sa couronne trans-vissée sur implant et sa restauration définitive.
▪ La patiente était contente de repartir avec le sourire et de pouvoir manger sans dent manquante (Buser, Chappuis, Janner & Belser, 2019).
