DJ Soulchild

Happy 25th Anniversary to me! Actually, it was already on 1st January, but i completely forgot! 😂🤦🏼‍♂️ So i'm only just commemorating this milestone now.

I've told the story of how i transitioned from former R&B boyband member to DJ Soulchild in 2001 in multiple past interviews (look them up on YouTube). All i knew back then is that i wanted to continue to represent my deep passion for R&B music and all things groovy and soulful in any way that i could. The three main influences in that decision were my mother , and my boy DJ SCA, who was a hot local R&B DJ at the time.

Since then, i've been rocking clubs all over Europe, even as far as Dubai...putting on local R&B events for 20 years and helping shape Basel's nightlife...supporting and DJ-ing alongside some of the world's biggest R&B artists, remixing and producing for R&B artists i grew up listening to, as well as more recent talent...enjoying chart success...managing and quietly acting as an A&R for multiple R&B artists...hosting Switzerland's first-and-only strictly R&B show for 2 years, featuring prominent international interview guests...curating R&B playlists on Spotify since 2017...and now i'm finally about to release my debut album later this year, featuring a lot of artists you all know! 🔥🔥🔥 Feels kinda appropriate to drop it in my 25th year 😊

You can NOT say "R&B" in Switzerland without mentioning me, PERIOD. 💯 I've done A LOT for this culture, not just locally, but globally. That's right, i'm proud of my journey and achievements, so i'm poppin' my s**t today. 😤

And again, for those who STILL don't get it:

Thank you to anyone who has ever believed in me, booked me and supported anything i do and continues to do so - without you there's no me. You guys keep me going in times of doubt, dispair and defeat. From the bottom of my heart, i truly appreciate you! 🙏❤️
